Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience in wet-lab techniques related to genetic engineering, including DNA assembly, sequencing, transformation, genome integration, and PCR.
  • Proficient in enzyme expression and characterization using various analytical methods, such as SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, optical plate-based assays, and HPLC.
  • Experience in protein engineering across different microbial systems and enzyme classes.
  • Strong understanding of enzyme screening principals.
  • Competent in applying statistical methods to enhance experimental design and enable robust data analysis.
  • Ability to develop or utilize software scripts (e.g., Python, JMP, R) for data analysis.
  • Systematic and problem-solving mindset to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Conduct literature and patent searches to support business development and project scoping efforts.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in a biology-related field or a Master with minimum of 5 years of experience in the biotech industry.
  • Expertise in a specific area of biology with significant wet-lab experience.
  • Demonstrated creativity, independence and strong problem-solving skills in previous roles.
  • Experience with droplet technology is a plus.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to deliver high-quality work within tight project timelines.
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
