Allozymes is looking for a highly motivated Head of HR / Human Resource Manager to shape and lead Allozymes’ People strategy, in collaboration with our co-founders. This role will also be supporting our global expansion efforts.

In this role, you will be working closely with our co-founders to develop and implement talent & employee policies that align with Allozymes’ mission and goals.   • Lead recruitment process to attract and hire best-fit talents
  • Oversee the full cycle hiring process, from sourcing and screening to interviewing new talents
  • Proactively develop a robust talent pipeline for critical roles

Employee Engagement

  • Lead employee engagement efforts to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring that they are competitive and aligned with industry standards
  • Manage team and employee relations, provide guidance and support to managers and employees as needed
  • Establish clear communication channel to effectively convey HR policies to employee
  • Enhance employee experience and engagement through different touchpoints and communication channels

Performance Management & Development

  • Develop and manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching
  • Identify opportunities for employee’s growth and development
  • Develop & execute strategies for employee development
  • Foster a culture of engagement & recognition
  • Manage employee grievance, staff counselling and conducting of disciplinary inquiries and investigations for all job levels
  • Design and implement team and talent development programs to enhance workforce skills and knowledge

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Review and enhancement of HR work process
  • Analyse current workflow, identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions

Leadership & Strategic Initiatives

  • Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, aligning HR initiatives with key organisational goals.
  • Lead organisational development initiatives, including change management and workforce planning.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources with at least 5 years of experience in Business HR management, in a fast growing startup biotechnology company
  • Self-driven and motivated individual with business driving mindset and start-up attitude
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and coaching skills with the confidence to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • People-oriented with a strong sense of empathy
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Familiarity with Europe and/or US employment laws and regulations will be an advantage
  • Proven team-player who loves building great teams
